About Me

Jennifer Mathieu Henshall is trained in The ORIGINAL Lotte Berk Technique by The London Method, a certified American Barre Technique Master Barre Instructor, a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, an AFAA Certified Group Fitness Instructor, a Moms Into Fitness Prenatal & Postnatal Fitness and Nutrition Specialist, Clinical Aromatherapist and author who discovered barre — her soulmate workout — while training for the 2016 Boston Marathon.

A long-time runner, former bodybuilder and melanoma skin cancer survivor, Jennifer’s recent battle with autoimmune disease has changed her fitness focus to one that incorporates more mindful, purposeful and low-impact movements.

She is certified in a variety of barre techniques, including BarreAmped Bounce, Prenatal/Postnatal Barre, H.I. (High Intensity) Barre, Barre-Less Barre Ballet Aerobics, Barre Stretch and BOSU Barre Strong.

A former communication professor and professional and mother of two daughters, Jennifer recently founded The Barre Library, an online education center for all barre enthusiasts. She is excited to build a community where barre students, instructors and devotees can come together to share knowledge, experiences and ways to create and maintain a strong connection between the mind and body through barre.
